Guide to Accessing and Using the GuestPoint Mobile Interface

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to enable and use the mobile-optimised version of GuestPoint on your mobile device.

Info
Please be mindful that our Mobile-optimised Version is accessed via any Browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc) on your Phone or Tablet.
It is not a dedicated application on the Android or iOS platforms.

1. Enabling GuestPoint Mobile Access

To access the mobile interface, your user account or other user must first be configured correctly from the desktop version of GuestPoint.

Step-by-Step Configuration to Enable Mobile Access for a User:

  1. On your computer, navigate to the Cloud Version of GuestPoint accessible through any browser at https://pms.guestpoint.com/

  2. Log in with your credentials (Serial Number, User Name, Password).

  3. Go to the Management tab, then select Setup, and click on Users & Rights.

  4. Locate the desired user account and ensure the necessary mobile access rights are enabled.

  5. Click Save.

Once these rights have been granted, your user account is ready to access the mobile version.

Info
If you don't see the option to edit other user privileges in this section or you cannot edit the user privileges, it means your GuestPoint user type is not an Administrator.
Only Administrator-level user types can change other user's privileges.

Contact your manager or someone with Administrator access or reach out to the Support Team to enable this feature for you.

2. Accessing the Mobile Interface

The GuestPoint mobile version is accessed through any browser on your phone or tablet. It is not an application that exists on the Android or iOS platform.

  1. On your smartphone or tablet, open your preferred web browser (e.g., Chrome, Safari).

  2. Navigate to the standard GuestPoint URL: https://pms.guestpoint.com/

  3. Log in using your usual Serial Number, Username and Password.

The system will automatically recognize you are using a mobile device and present the mobile-optimized interface.

Notes
TIP - Saving the browser URL as a Shortcut Icon
You can save the URL link as a shortcut icon to the home screen of your mobile device for quicker access to our Mobile Version.
This can be done while you are on https://pms.guestpoint.com/ browser page and navigating to the browser settings.

Info
Using the Desktop Version instead of the Mobile Version on a Mobile Device
The Desktop Version is still available on a mobile device if you wish to use that version instead.
This is useful for mobile devices with larger screens like tablets.

While you can use it on a smaller device like a phone, it is not recommended as the screen is simply too small to accommodate the Desktop Version view.

To enable the Desktop Version on a mobile device: While you are on the log in screen for the Mobile Version, navigate to the settings icon of the browser.
Within these settings, you should find an option to switch to the Desktop site.

3. Key Functions of the Mobile Interface

The mobile version provides quick access to your most crucial front-desk and reservation management tools, ensuring you can manage operations effectively while on the go.

Please note it does not have every feature from the Desktop Version, and some features appear differently on the Mobile Version.

Common use case scenarios for the Mobile Version may include:
1. You take bookings direct but do not always have access to your reservation screen to determine if you have any availability.

2. You are on the go but need to quickly check the details of a reservation

3. You would like quick access to your occupancy statistics at any time i.e. occupancy level, bookings to check in or yet to check out, the current guests in-house.

4. You would like to quickly see dashboard revenue statistics.
Please see below for a brief introduction to the feature areas of the Mobile Version.
