Channel Manager Preferences

This gives users the ability to customize certain features between GuestPoint and the GuestPoint Channel Manager.

Follow the steps below to access this feature


GuestPoint Booking Import Preferences


You are presented with three optional features that will activate once ticked and saved



  1. Do not Modify Bookings

    This option will restrict modifications being passed from the channel manager to GuestPoint.
    You will receive an email advising of the modification that has been made, this will then need to be manually amended with in the reservation the modification applies to.

  2. Do Not Cancel Bookings

    This option will disable that ability for automatic cancellations to apply.
    You will receive an email advising of the cancellation, you will need to then access GuestPoint and manually cancel the reservation

  3. Do not Import Credit Card Details

    This will stop the GuestPoint Channel Manager from sending credit card information to the booking.
    You will then need to retrieve the Card details from the OTA platform the booking came from.
Please note even when allowing the channel manager to push through modifications and cancellations there are some cases that it will not apply.
Typically this occurs when a lot of information has been changed within the booking I.e Room Type change, Guest name change and or changes to certain description fields.


Auto Stop Sell Time

This gives users the ability to setup a stop sell just the channel manager.

Daily at variable times allows us to set a certain time each day



Daily at same time allows us to set one time to cover all days.
